Asisat Oshoala has continued to show her class in Spain with Barcelona Ladies, Dele Bashiru scored a super goal, while Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa caught the eye for Heartland to beat regional rivals Enugu Rangers in the NPFL.

Sunday’s ‘Oriental Derby’ was between goalkeeper Ezenwa and Enugu Rangers in Okigwe as he pulled off at least eight top-class saves for Heartland to record a 2-1 home win in the NPFL. Rangers dominated the clash from start to finish, but Ezenwa’s heroics stood between them and a convincing win on the road.

The Super Falcons skipper, sporting a new hairstyle, came off the bench on the hour to score twice for Barcelona Ladies to beat Atletico Bilbao. This was her team’s 15th straight win. Her club are runaway leaders of the league on 40 points after they narrowly missed out on the championship last season.

The youngster was the catalyst for Villarreal CF to win at Real Sociedad when he was felled inside the box for a penalty that was converted for his team to take the lead against the run of play. ‘The Yellow Submarines’ have now moved up to ninth place in La Liga table. He has scored three goals in 18 appearances this season thus far.

The former West Bromwich Albion striker posted a superb outing for Aris to stun champions PAOK 4-2 in Greece. Ideye, 31, has bounced back to top reckoning after a most trying two years in China. He has six goals in 15 appearances. His club have now shot to fourth on the table.
1.Tom Dele Bashiru
The former Flying Eagles and U23 midfielder not only scored a wonder goal but also shone for Watford in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Tranmere in the third round of the FA Cup. It was his first start for the Premier League side. He has been linked with a loan move to modest Belgian club Zulte Waregem but he may now still have a future at Watford.
