Nigeria stars certainly mean business in the new season in Europe as could be seen by the individual performances of Super Eagles strikers Kelechi Iheanacho and Paul Onuachu this past week.
5.Chidera Ejuke
The dribbling wizard has opened his goals account in Russia for CSKA Moscow in the Moscow derby against Dynamo. He will certainly home to improve on the five goals he scored last season after he got off to an early start. The CSKA fans were not fully convinced by him in his first season in Russia and so he has a lot to prove to them in the new season.
4.Leke James
The much-travelled striker scored his first goal for new club Sivasspor in the UEFA Conference League with compatriot Olarenwaju Kayode also getting on the scoreboard. Leke James is a proven goal scorer and a lot more will be expected of him in Turkey this season.
3.Adewale Oladoye
The Water FC midfielder marked his first start for Gent with a well-taken goal against RIFS of Latvia to inspire their comeback in a UEFA Conference League qualifier. He was also involved in the late equalizer to ensure hosts Gent draw 2-2. At only 19, this Flying Eagles defensive midfielder has a big future ahead of him.

2.Paul Onuachu
After a rather indifferent start to the new season, ‘Big Paul’ has fittingly replied his critics by notching two goals within a week. He opened scoring for Genk against Shakhtar Donetsk in a UEFA Champions League qualifier on Tuesday and on Saturday he scored his first goal in the league. But it will still be great to see him make that big transfer before the summer window closes.
1.Kelechi Iheanacho
‘Seniorman Kelz’ has again made history with Leicester City and again it was at the famous Wembley Stadium, where he scored the goal that ensured ‘The Foxes’ outsmarted Premier League champions Manchester City to clinch the Community Shield. Even though he later said he was overcome by “mixed emotions”, it must certainly be personally satisfying for him to have denied his former employers a piece of silverware. This is great omen for the striker going into the new season after he recorded his most productive campaign last term by netting 19 goals in all competitions. He still has his magic soap it appears…
