Both Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman bagged Man of the Match awards for Fulham and Atalanta respectively to win their league matches.
5.Noah Adedeji-Sternberg
Belgium U19 winger, who is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his father, justified his first start of the season to score his third goal for table-topping Genk. And it was a made-in-Nigeria goal as the assist was made by fellow Nigerian star Tolu Arokodare. Genk beat struggling KV Kortrijk 3-2 in a hard-fought encounter to maintain a four-point gap with nearest rivals Club Brugge.

4.Victor Osimhen
The Super Eagles star striker fired his 10th goal for Galatasaray to win 3-2 at Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig. This comes after a clear-the-air meeting with Galatasaray during which he assured the Turkish champions he will not trigger a break-up clause that allows him to leave next month. He said he is happy at ‘Gala’ and this has been evident by his personal performance – 10 goals, five assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.
Nigeria winger Moses Simon’s fine solo goal in the 89th minute helped Nantes beat 10-man Rennes 1-0 in a French league derby on Sunday as a chaotic finish saw Rennes coach Jorge Sampaoli sent off in stoppage time after a video replay ruled out an equaliser.pic.twitter.com/GxiAPcBe2L

3.Moses Simon
FC Nantes are struggling again this season in the French Ligue 1 and they will need the goals and assists of Moses Simon to be safe again. The all-action winger left it late to score the only goal for ‘The Canaries’ to edge past Rennes. It was a great solo goal. Nantes are now in 13th position with 14 points from as many matches to be a point above the drop zone.
2.Ademola Lookman
Incoming CAF African Player of the Year ‘Adebobo’ also left it late to put AC Milan to sword for Atalanta to shoot to the top of the Serie A standings. He scooped his fifth Man of the Match award of the season as his club recorded their ninth straight win. Everything and everybody now points to the Super Eagles star forward succeeding compatriot Osimhen as Africa’s No 1 star for 2024. It will be deserved recognition for a player, who has endured several ups and downs to now be a truly world-class player.

1.Alex Iwobi
‘Chili guy’ Iwobi was the undisputed Man of the Match after his two goals slayed Brighton and then a few days later he followed that up with a decent shift against former club Arsenal in a home draw. He has now scored four goals in the league for his London club. Iwobi is enjoying a rich vein of form, which he has attributed to the support system around him. The Fulham manager has backed the versatile star to post his best season ever in the Premier League.
