In the week he was deservedly crowned King of African football, Victor Osimhen showed he is one of the best strikers in the world with his heroics for Napoli in both UEFA Champions League and Serie A.
5.Cyriel Dessers
The Super Eagles striker ended a personal satisfying week during which he scored in the UEFA Europa League by landing his first trophy with Rangers, the Scottish League Cup. Dessers scored a goal and delivered an assist to help Rangers to finish top of their Europa League group in style with a 2-0 win at Real Betis. Both the striker and the Glasgow club are enjoying a fine run under their new coach.
4.Chuba Akpom
The former Arsenal ace again showed he is fully bedded in at Ajax with two strikes against AEK of Greece in the Europa League. The win ensured the Dutch giants will still play European club football in the New Year even though they now drop to the UEFA Conference League.
3.Victor Boniface
The exciting striker notched his 15th goal of the season to inspire Bayer Leverkusen to a comfortable 3-0 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt. His impressive number of assists also proved he plays with the team. The victory against Frankfurt made sure they stayed ahead of defending champions Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga.
2.Samuel Chukwueze
The winger came off the bench to snatch the winning goal for AC Milan at Newcastle United. It was another beautiful curler with his favoured left foot. This result salvaged part of the season for the Italian giants as they will playoff in the UEFA Europa League in the New Year. The class of ‘Samu’ has never been in doubt, the problem is that he does not produce the same quality on a more consistent basis.

He was the undisputed Nigerian star of the past week. First, he scooped the prestigious CAF Player of the Year Award which has eluded the country for the past 24 years. He then shuttled back from Morocco to score against Sporting Braga and seal Napoli qualification to the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League. And as if this that was not enough, he scored a trademark headed goal and then conjured an insane assist for the Serie A champions to put to sword Cagliari in the Italian league and crown a very productive week in the office as the king of African football.
