Odion Ighalo justified his big-money transfer to Saudi Arabia with more goals for Al Shabab, while youngster Akinkunmi Amoo and Asisat Oshoala enjoyed cup success in Sweden and Spain, respectively.
5.Asisat Oshoala
The Super Falcons skipper won her third major trophy with Barcelona Ladies this season after they stopped Levante in the final of the Copa de la Reina. She already made history when she became the first African to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League with the humiliation of Chelsea in the Final and that was after her team had won the league in super style by recording 26 wins in as many games.

4.Akinkunmi Amoo
The exciting youngster scooped his first major trophy in Europe after just a year in Sweden with Hammarby IF. The Swedish Cup triumph has now got his club into the qualifying series of the UEFA Europa League, which will be a bigger shop window for the many top European clubs interested in snapping the 18-year-old forward to have a closer look at him.
3.Kelechi Nwakali
The former Flying Eagles skipper helped AD Alcorcon to escape relegation from the Spanish second division. Ironically, his parent club Huesca were relegated from La Liga to the Segunda Division. He has enjoyed some stability in Spain and next season he will be expected to take another big step in his career.
2.Moses Simon
The Super Eagles winger and FC Nantes will play again in the French Ligue 1 next season after they survived a late scare from Ligue 2 outfit Toulouse in the promotion/relegation playoffs. Relegation would have dealt a big blow on his international career at a time when competition for places in the Super Eagles attack has notched several gears up.

1.Odion Ighalo
Former Manchester United striker justified his fat pay in Saudi Arabia by grabbing a brace in Al Shabab final game of the season. He thus finished the season with nine goals and three assists, but unfortunately his club failed to wrest the championship from Al Hilal. Next season targets will be many more goals and the league crown, which has eluded his club since 2012.
