Ademola Lookman shone brightly in the big games this past week – scoring the all-important tie breaker to take Atletico Madrid past Barcelona to the UEFA Champions League semifinals and then hitting target in the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
5.Josh Maja
The one-cap Super Eagles striker scored one of the goals to shoot West Bromwich Albion away from the relegation zone of the English Championship. Maja opened scoring away at Preston as The Baggies moved five points clear of the drop zone with three rounds of matches to the end of the regular season. The proven goal scorer has now put behind his injury problems to now notch four goals this season.

4.Frank Onyeka
The Super Eagles midfielder put on a decent showing for Coventry City to get the draw they needed at Blackburn Rovers to seal their promotion back to the Premier League after a 25-year absence. The Brentford loanee was part of this historic feat that also means he will make a permanent switch to Coventry City come the new season. He has made a huge impact at his new team since his arrival in January.
3.Prosper Peter
The 18-year-old striker fired his fifth Ligue 1 goal and it was a very important goal as it kept his club Angers further away from the relegation zone. It has been an impressive debut season in the French top flight for the France U19 international so much so he is now on the radar of the Super Eagles. Will he be called up for next month’s Unity Cup in London?
2.Kelechi Iheanacho
‘Senior Man Kels’ is back in fine form for Scottish giants Celtic after an injury layoff as he scored twice in extra time for them to trounce St.Mirren 6-2 to reach the Scottish Cup final. It is a case of form is temporary but class is permanent as the Super Eagles forward netted twice to set up a cup final clash against Dunfermline on May 23 at Hampden Park.
Then came a stunning finish from Iheanacho for his second 😮💨

1.Ademola Lookman
He is certainly enjoying his time in Spain with goals and top-level individual performances for Atletico Madrid since his arrival from Italy in January. He got the all-important goal for Atleti to see off Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. In the return leg of the semifinals at the Metropolitano, Barcelona promptly cancelled out the two goals they let in at home only for ‘Mola’ to pull a goal back on the half hour. That proved decisive as Atleti went through to a semifinal clash against Arsenal 3-2 on aggregate. He also scored in the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad, but sadly Atletico fell short when they lost via a penalty shootout after scores stood at 2-2 even after extra time. Ademola Lookman has now scored seven goals and made four assists in all competitions for his new club to make him a clear and present danger for Arsenal in the Champions League.
