This past weekend, Calvin Bassey was huge in all sense of the word for the Super Eagles against Mexico, while Sadiq Umar and Ogenyi Onazi will be playing in La Liga and Saudi Arabia premier league respectively next season.
5. Ogenyi Onazi
Experienced midfielder Onazi will feature in the Saudi Arabian top league next season after Al Adalah won promotion back there. It’s a gamble that has paid off for the former Lazio star, whose career was heading to the doldrums after short-lived stints in Denmark, Lithuania and Turkey in the last one year.
4. Odion Ighalo
The durable striker grabbed his 22nd league goal for Al Hilal in a 2-0 win over Abha at the weekend. It was an important win as Al Hilal are now tied on the same points and same goals difference with two rounds of matches to the end of the season.

3.Silas Nwankwo
The former Nasarawa United star netted his third goal in eight league appearances for Mjallby to draw 1-1 with Kalmar in the Swedish top league. Mjallby are now eighth on the 16-team table with 15 points after 10 rounds of matches.
2.Sadiq Umar
‘Jololo’ will play in La Liga next season after he snatched the all-important equalizer for UD Almeria at CD Leganes. The striker fired his 18th goal in Segunda Division in a 2-2 draw for Almeria to emerge champions of La Liga 2. This will make up for Almeria missing out on promotion via the playoffs the previous season.

1.Calvin Bassey
After his Man of the Match performance in the Scottish Cup Final the previous week, the Rangers defender again caught the eye with another top-class outing for the Super Eagles against Mexico. He provided the assist for Cyriel Dessers first international goal and he was far and away the best Super Eagles star on the pitch against Mexico in Texas.
