Jerome Akor has continued from his great run at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco with three goals in two matches in La Liga with Sevilla, while in the Premier League Samuel Chukwueze and Taiwo Awoniyi hit target in victories for their clubs.

The giant striker came off the bench to break the deadlock for Trabzonspor to beat Kasimpasa 2-1 in a Turkish Super Lig clash. It was a superb goal by the big target man as he created a little space inside the box before he fired past the goalkeeper. He has now netted 12 goals, a goal shy of the leading scorer of the league. The home win consolidated his team’s third spot on the table as they have 41 points after 19 rounds of matches, five points behind leaders Galatasaray.
4. Victor Osimhen
He got his seventh goal in the Turkish Super Lig and his 50th for Galatasaray in a crucial 3-1 win at Fatih Karagumruk. He has now gone on record as the player to reach half a century of goals for ‘Gala’ the fastest as he hit the milestone mark after 59 games. Mauro Icardi got to 50 goals for Galatasaray by his 68th match. It was a crucial win on the road for the defending champions as they are now three points ahead of bitter rivals Fenerbache in the Super Lig standings.

3. Samuel Chukwueze
The winger put behind his penalty kick miss at the AFCON to score a great goal for Fulham to come from behind to stop Brighton 2-1 in London. He has now fired three goals and made as many assists for Fulham in this campaign. Fulham are now seventh on the table with 34 points from 23 matches.
2. Taiwo Awoniyi
The striker scored his first goal in almost a year to help Nottingham Forest ease relegation fears with a 2-0 win at in-form Brentford in continuation of the Premier League at the weekend. His goal was a brilliant solo effort as he dribbled past his marker from far off, drove into the box and fended off more resistance before firing home his team’s second goal. This Man-of-the-Match display is coming amid uncertainties over his future at Forest as he has fallen down the pecking order and so has struggled for game time. Will Forest let him go in this transfer window?

The big centre-forward is certainly in the form of his life after he came back from the AFCON in Morocco to score three goals within days for Sevilla in the Spanish La Liga. He got a brace in a 2-2 draw at Elche earlier in the week that included putting away a stoppage time penalty in stoppage time. He followed this up with another goal from the spot for Sevilla to beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 at home. His penalty goal was the match winner on the day. He has now scored six goals in La Liga this season after he failed to find the back of the net last season when he arrived from the French Ligue 1. Sevilla are 11th on the table, but just how long can they hold on to this 25-year-old striker?
