Okereke started life in Belgium like a house on fire, scoring three goals in his first three games following his eight million Euros transfer from Italian club Spezia.
He will finish his first season in Belgium with nine goals as Club Brugge were crowned champions for the 16th time.
However, the current season has not gone as well for the talented forward as he no longer plays in the head of the attack, but has now been deployed on the flank.
He has scored four goals in 15 appearances, mostly as a substitute, thus far.
His run was not helped by the fact that he suffered Coronavirus and has also been injured.
Club Brugge remain the dominant force in Belgium despite criticisms about their lack of fire power, which has even led them to sign a top striker from the German Bundesliga.
Okereke, 23, will be expected to step up with more goals so as to reclaim a bigger role at the Belgian champions in this campaign.
He made his debut for the Nigeria U23s in the year under review, while he awaits his chance with the Super Eagles.
