Anthony Nwakaeme, capped once by his country at full international level, has remained the live wire of the Trabzonspor attack since he switched from Israel at the start of the 2018/19 season.
He is a forward, who has been played mainly on the wings, who has guaranteed double figures in goals season in, season out.
Last season, the Ajegunle-born Nwakaeme netted 11 goals in 29 matches, a goal more than he achieved the previous season.
However, his club have missed out on the major honours over the years.
This season, he has scored three goals in 11 appearances.
Nwakaeme has this past year battled various kinds of injuries โ from hamstring to thigh muscle rupture.
All the same, the 31-year-old striker can be still relied on to get the goals thanks to his experience, commitment and sheer class.
He remains a very durable professional, who has outlived compatriots Ogenyi Onazi and Mikel Obi at Trabzonspor, even as he closes in on his 32nd birthday in March and has been playing in Europe now for 10 straight years
