A lot may still be expected of Alex Iwobi in an Everton shirt following his big-money move from Arsenal two seasons ago, but it appears he is gradually stabilising after a rather difficult start at Goodison Park.
The progress he has made since his departure from his childhood club has been underlined by his conversion to a wingback after he was originally bought to play on the left flank.
Last season, he made 25 appearances and scored a goal for ‘The Toffees’.
For the current season, he has already appeared 14 times in a hugely re-organised Everton who in the summer brought in several top stars.
He could have made more appearances, but for injury at the start of the season and most recently.
However, Iwobi will need to do more in front of goal as he himself has admitted it is something he has to work on.
In May, he will be 25 and so no longer a youngster, but a senior player who is expected to make a lot more impact for both club and country.
