SC Heerenveen sports director Gerry Hamstra has praised Chidera Ejuke after he completed his transfer to Russian club CSKA Moscow today.
Ejuke, 22, has signed a four-year contract with the Russian army club for 12 million Euros 13 months after Heerenveen had signed him from Norwegian club Valerenga for two million Euros.
“Chidera has met all our expectations”, Hamstra said.
“He has been able to develop further with us and has become even better. His transfer to CSKA Moscow says it all.
“We thank Chidera and wish him the best of luck in his further career.”
The former Nigeria U17 winger finished as Heerenveen top scorer last season with nine goals and four assists.
He has been assigned jersey No 11 by the Moscow club, who will feature in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
