Samuel Kalu has commented on the health scare he suffered during a Ligue 1 clash at Olympique Marseille at the weekend just as officials disclosed he has been given the green light to return to full action.
On Sunday night, Kalu collapsed on his own early into the match at Marseille, he later returned to action before he was replaced soon after.
The Super Eagles winger has now explained what happened to him on the day.
“There were about 90,000 fans in the stadium and there was no air,” Kalu told Punch Sports Extra.
“We were just a little bit into the game and I felt like my eyes were turning me, I had to cover my face with my hand and I went down.
“Though I was okay and I was able to continue the game after.”
In the meantime, top NFF officials said the cardiac tests conducted on the player have given him a clean bill of health and he will be picked for next month’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
