Experienced striker Mbwana Samatta will lead eight foreign-based pros when they open their 2025 AFCON campaign against the Super Eagles in Fes.
The Group C opener will be played on December 23.
Samatta, who previously featured for Belgian club Genk, is now playing for Le Havre in France.
He has been his country’s top footballing export for many years and returns to the Taifa Stars after an absence.
The bulk of the squad is made of players who play locally.
The Taifa Stars have already set up camp in Morocco and will be led by coach Miguel Gamondi.
