Sadiq Umar scored for the third straight Segunda Division game and gave an assist for UD Almeria to go top of the table courtesy of a 3-1 home win over Fuenlabrada.
He first assisted with a brilliant solo run for his team’s opening goal, before his powerful header on 65 minutes put Almeria in front at 2-1.
The Super Eagles striker, 25, has now netted 13 goals this season.
Last season, he fired 20 goals, but Almeria still failed to win promotion back to La Liga.
Almeria are now top of the standings with 58 points from 29 matches.
They are two points clear of Elbar, who have a game in hand.
