Sadiq Umar and Anthony Nwakaeme have continued a flying start by Nigeria stars across Europe after they both helped their clubs to big wins.
Sadiq, who has maintained he has a contract with UD Almeria despite transfer rumours swirling around him from last season, opened scoring at Cartegena on 19 minutes.
He later had another goal chalked off by VAR, but his team ran away 3-1 winners.
Last season, he banged 20 goals in the Segunda Division, but Almeria failed to win promotion back to La Liga.
In Turkey, captain Nwakaeme led Trabzonspor to the biggest win on the opening day of league action courtesy of a 5-1 victory at Yeni Malatyaspor.
He got his team’s second after 11 minutes.
