The striker hit target in the 53rd minute for his 18th goal in Segunda Division after compatriot and fellow Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo had given home team CD Leganes a 2-1 lead going into the break.
Almeria needed to avoid defeat at Leganes to seal promotion.
Sadiq’s team, who last season failed to win promotion via the playoffs, will return to the Spanish top flight in fine style after they finished champions of the second-tier league.
Almeria finished on 81 points from 42 matches ahead of Real Valladolid on goals difference of +33 as against +28.
