Rwanda and Zimbabwe played out a goalless draw Wednesday in the opening game of Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which also has the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
It was the Warriors of Zimbabwe first official game this year after they were banned by FIFA in February 2022.
Home team Rwanda pressed for a goal, while Zimbabwe defended resolutely for most parts of this encounter.
The Super Eagles will today welcome Lesotho to Uyo, while South Africa take on Benin Republic Saturday in Durban in continuation of the qualifying tournament.
The overall winners of this group will qualify automatically for the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.
