Rwanda coach Torsten Spittler has warned the fans against the over confidence that has overtaken the country on the back of a fine run in 2026 World Cup qualifying series.
Under German coach Spittler, the Amavubi of Rwanda have only lost once in seven matches.
They lead a 2026 World Cup qualifying section that incidentally also has the Super Eagles.
The Amahoro Stadium in Kigali will be packed this afternoon with fans expecting the home team to record a first-ever win over Nigeria at full international level.
“The confidence level in the country is very high, but I am more realistic,” Spittler admitted.
He said the team are undergoing a good process and promised a strong performance against Nigeria and their big stars.
“Nigeria won’t be easy but we hope to make the best out of our home advantage,” he said.
Kick-off time in Nigeria is 2pm.
