Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has predicted a World Cup Playoffs final showdown between Nigeria and DR Congo.
On Thursday, the Super Eagles take on Gabon, while DR Congo tackle Cameroon in the semifinals of the CAF Playoffs.
Rohr picked Nigeria and DRC to slug it out for the ticket to the Intercontinental Playoffs in Mexico in March 2026 that will decide two World Cup qualifiers.
“I think the final could be between Nigeria and DR Congo,” predicted former Gabon coach Rohr, who came close to guiding Benin to a first-ever World Cup qualification.
“DR Congo are a bit stronger because they have individually better quality players than Cameroon.”
