Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has warned that Cameroon will be seeking revenge when both teams clash tonight in a friendly in Vienna, Austria.
The Super Eagles eliminated the Indomitable Lions from both the 2018 World Cup and 2019 AFCON in their last three clashes.
“Cameroon are one of the best teams in Africa. In our three last games against them, we put them out of the World Cup and out of the AFCON, so they want to take revenge,” Rohr said ahead of tonight’s friendly.
“But we also want to win this game, to test some players, a lot of players are not here, more than 11 players could not come.
“This is our last preparation game before the World Cup qualifiers in September, so it’s very important.
“It’s an opportunity to see other players, give them a chance to play and to get the result I hope.
“The players are motivated, they want to do well.
“We will try to do well in the first game with a good organisation.
“We have several possibilities – 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1.”
Kick-off time is 8.30pm.
The second friendly between the two teams will be played on Tuesday.
