Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has declared that his team Benin are in Nigeria with full confidence going into a final showdown in Uyo Tuesday after they beat hosts Rwanda to stay top of the standings.
The Cheetahs of Benin are now just a win away from qualifying for their first-ever World Cup.
Rohr said the victory has boosted their self-belief ahead of Tuesday’s clash against the Super Eagles to decide the automatic qualifiers for next year’s World Cup.
“This result (1-0 vs Rwanda) boosts confidence,” he said.
“Playing against Osimhen, Lookman, Simon, Iwobi… That’s another story…”
He added that it was very important for his team to win in Rwanda.
“It was a very tactical match… A cagey match where there was very little football. But since it was so important, you can’t come here to put on a show. We were there to get a result,” he explained.

We are behind the supper eagles, God will see you through!
