Rivers United trounced Watanga of Liberia 3-0 in Port Harcourt in a CAF Champions League, while Kwara United were also very much at home in Lagos with a 3-0 win over AS Douanes of Niger in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Agu Kenechukwu Augustine opened scoring for Rivers United after just eight minutes, before defender Ebube Duru made it 2-0 10 minutes later.

In Lagos, Paul Samson put Kwara in front against Niger cup winners AS Douanes in the fifth minute.
Wasiu Jimoh scored Kwara United second goal from the penalty spot after 17 minutes, before he got his brace five minutes from the break.
