The age-long rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana will be extended when both countries’ teams do battle again in the WAFU B zonal qualifiers for the U20 AFCON.
The Flying Eagles are drawn against their Ghanaian counterparts in Group B that also has Burkina Faso.
Nigeria and Ghana played out a 1-1 draw in the last edition of the qualifiers, but the Flying Eagles failed to go past the group stage of the sub-regional qualifiers in December 2020.
Hosts Niger head Group A along with Cote d’Ivoire, Togo and Benin Republic.
The qualifying tournament will kick off on May 7 in Niamey, Niger Republic, with the two finalists advancing to the U20 AFCON to be staged by Egypt in February 2023.
The tournament ends May 20.
