SCORENigeria has been informed that Turkish Super Lig club Antalyaspor rejected an offer of 1.7 Million Euros from Anderlecht for Paul Mukairu, who spent last season on loan at the Belgian club.
The buy-out option after the loan spell at the Brussels club was 2.5 Million Euros, but cash-strapped Anderlecht demanded for a downward review, which Antalyaspor turned down.
Mukairu, 21, has since headed back to Turkey amid reports he will be offered an improved contract by Antalyaspor.
He still has two more years with the Super Lig club.
The winger scored four goals and made four assists during his time in Belgium and many experts had predicted he had done enough to earn a permanent transfer or at the very least move to another club in mainland Europe.
