SCORENigeria has scooped that Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo are currently the highest earning Nigeria football stars – both pocket about $7 million or 2.5 billion Naira a year each.
SCORENigeria investigations further showed Ahmed Musa’s cash power is in the same bracket with that of Odion Ighalo and has been helped by the fact that he pays little or no tax.
Both players have now invested heavily in real estate as a result of their fortunes.
Ahmed Musa moved to oil-rich Saudi Arabia last year after a difficult time at Premier League club Leicester City.
Last season, the 26-year-old winger helped Al Nassr to win the league championship after netting seven goals in 24 appearances.
However, injury has slowed down the Nigeria star this season as he has yet to score in two league games.
Ighalo, on the other hand, has bagged a long-term contract at Shanghai Shensua after his record-breaking goals tally last season.
He also played in the Premier League with Watford.
