David Okereke will need to do more next season to justify the eight million Euros Club Brugge splashed on him to move from Italian club Spezia.
Okereke, 22, scored nine goals in 22 league appearances before the Belgian league season was discontinued due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
“Club Brugge have spent more than 17 million Euros in the summer and winter in the search for a deep striker. For the amounts paid, we could expect more from David Okereke (8 million), Mbaye Diagne (loan fee of over 3 million) and Michael Krmencik (6.5 million),” analysed Voetbalkrant.
“Okereke showed promising things before his confidence dipped and Krmencik didn’t get too much time to adapt to the team and the system.”
