The fear of having to continue to fight against relegation may be the main reason Terem Moffi has put on hold his dream to play in the Premier League.
Most of the Premier League clubs who have shown interest in the FC Lorient striker are currently fighting against dropping down to the lower-tier English Championship – Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham and Southampton.
A close source told SCORENigeria: “He has always been fighting against relegation in France with Lorient and he would prefer that is not also the case in the Premier League.
“Southampton, for one, have already tabled personal terms to him, which are attractive, but he also wants to compare this against his footballing ambitions.”
Ligue 1 club OGC Nice are now favourites to land the signature of the 23-year-old striker, who has so far scored 12 goals this season.
However, the South of France team are still far away from the valuation of the player by his club, which is now put at around 30 Million Euros.
Moffi has a year and half left on his contract with Lorient.
