The Italian Football Association have announced they have opened investigations into racists attacks aimed at Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during this past weekend’s Serie A game at AS Roma.
This will be the second time this season that the Super Eagles striker has been racially abused after he was also attacked at Fiorentina.
Interestingly, Osimhen, who has been in outstanding form this season, had admitted he hesitated coming to Italy because of the racism that is prevalent in the country.
On Sunday, Napoli lost their first points of the season when they were held to a scoreless draw by Roma.
The Naples club remain top of the table with 25 points, same as closest rivals AC Milan.
