Pressure has continued to be mounted on the NFF to appoint Samson Siasia is the new coach for the Nigeria U23 team.
Siasia has applied for the top coaching post alongside Daniel Amokachi and Ladan Bosso.
It was gathered that this past week several NFF chieftains led by General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi met with the Bayelsa State Governor in Yenagoa and the main thrust of the parley was the appointment of Siasia as head coach of the country’s Olympic team.
Siasia has previously held this post, leading the country to Olympic silver and bronze in 2008 and 2016, respectively.
The NFF technical committee has yet to make its recommendation who will head the U23s.
