Club Brugge winger Emmanuel Dennis is among the African-born players in the race for the prestigious Ebony Shoe in Belgium.
The Ebony Shoe is awarded to the best player of African descent in the Belgian top flight every season.
The winner will be announced on Monday, June 1.
There will be no awards ceremony no thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Tanzania skipper Ally Samatta won the award last season.
Dennis has caught the eye even beyond Belgium after his exploits for newly crowned champions Club Brugge in both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
He faces tough competition from teammate Clinton Mata and Dieumerci Mbokani, who first won the award in 2012.
Nigeria stars Godwin Okpara and Daniel Amokachi have previously won the gong.
