The Premier League will now investigate the transfer of teenager Chido Obi-Martin to Manchester United from Arsenal.
The sensational striker has completed the first part of his medical tests ahead of a move to Manchester United, but an official announcement may be delayed as the deal awaits clearance from the Premier League’s five-step investigation process.
However, all aspects of the transfer are reportedly set to be finalised.
Born in Glostrup, a Copenhagen suburb, to Nigerian parents, Obi is eligible to represent Denmark, England, and Nigeria at the international level.
He has had a diverse youth international career, making five appearances for Denmark U16s in late 2022 before briefly switching allegiance to England in early 2023.
However, he returned to the Danish national setup later that year, scoring twice in three games for the U16s and earning a call-up to the Danish U17 squad.
His impressive performances have marked him out as a promising talent, and his move to Manchester United is eagerly anticipated by fans and pundits alike.
