President of the National Association of Nigerian Footballers (NANF) Harrison Jalla has saluted Femi Otedola for coming to the help of ailing goalkeeper Peter Fregene.
Fregene is again suffering from stroke and his bills at the Reddinton Hopital in Lagos have been taken up by oil magnate Otedola.
Only recently Otedola also assisted in the medical treatment in London of former Super Eagles captain Christian ‘Chairman’ Chukwu.
“Otedola has given former players hope and God will continue to bless him,” Jalla praised on his visit to Fregene.
“We challenge other wealthy and well-meaning Nigerians to follow his example.”
Fregene was outstanding for Nigeria at the 1968 Olympics.
He was also plucked out of international retirement to feature at the 1982 AFCON in Libya.
