A player of Serie B side Pisa has been handed a 10-match ban after he racially abused former Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi.
The offence was committed on December 22, 2020.
The player, Michele Marconi, was initially acquitted but an appeal by Obi’s club Chievo Verona has now ordered he be banned for 10 games.
He will now miss the last two Serie B games of this season and will also miss the first eight games of the new season.
