Plateau United today beat Al Akhdar of Libya 4-1 in a first leg final playoff of the CAF Confederation Cup in Abuja.
Albert Hilary scored twice for the Jos club to take this win into the second leg in Libya next week.
Mustapha Yuga opened scoring in the 27th minute, before Ifeanyi Emmanuel doubled the lead five minutes from the break.
Albert Hilary then netted a stunning acrobatic goal to make it 3-0 for the Nigerian club in the 75th minute.
However, 10 minutes later the Libyans pulled a goal back.
Hilary then restored Plateau United three-goal cushion with his second goal of the day in stoppage time.
