American-born goalkeeper Philip Ejimadu, who has told SCORENigeria he wants to play for the Super Eagles, has been rewarded for his excellent performance after one of his saves in the USL was voted Save of the Month for August.
The 1.91m tall goalkeeper’s finger-tipping save against Orlando City won the top prize.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper reacted quickly to tip Matheus Martins Silva’s dipping strike from distance over the bar to preserve FC Tucson’s 3-1 lead.
Ejimadu, who has been called to USA U20 team, could also play for Brazil, where his mother hails from.
He is currently on loan to FC Tucson from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Los Angeles FC.
