Even though Napoli have yet to make a formal announcement on the transfer of Victor Osimhen from Lille, his entourage is expected in Italy to begin shopping for a house for the striker.
It comes at a time when Napoli star Dries Mertens has offered to help Osimhen settle quickly at a new club in a new league.
SkySport reported that the striker’s camp will be in Naples by Tuesday to hunt for a house for him.
He is due to officially join the team in September.
And before the official announcement by Napoli, Belgium international and the club’s all-time hero Mertens has said he will help the new signing to fit in quickly.
“I want to help the team and the young players, that’s my future,” he said.
“I want to help Osimhen and (Andrea) Petagna (another new signing), we can play together.
“It’s difficult to come from another country and settle in, we must help them fit in here.”
Osimhen has already picked Mertens and Senegal international defender Kalidou Koulibaly among his favourite players at Napoli.
Koulibaly assured the striker he will be fine after he had expressed fears over racism in Italy.
