Victor Osimhen has been holding Napoli hostage for two years and it is wrong of him to do so, according to a top Italian journalist.
Top Italian journalist Mario Fabbroni alleged on Radio Napoli Centrale that Osimhen may be waiting for his release clause of 75 Million Euros to run out next month after which Napoli will then have to decide on his transfer fee.
“Osimhen is very wrong to think that playing this game to let this (release) clause expire is good for him, because it is the easiest solution for him to leave,” Fabbroni said.
“After that, Napoli will decide the price (transfer fee).
“He is the casus belli of the market, he has been holding Napoli hostage for two years.”
He continued: “There was no some blackmailing by Kvara and his entourage and everything was resolved in a few days.
“With Osimhen, we are talking about a mega situation that has lasted for two years.
“We must not forget that Napoli paid part of his salary when he went to Galatasaray, it was still damaged.”
The relationship between Osimhen and Napoli soured before his eventual loan transfer to Galatasaray last year.
Osimhen claimed he was badly treated by the Italian club and in protest removed everything associated with the club on his social media pages.
A Benevento coach ha since slammed the striker for this, saying Osimhen is an ingrate and everything be done to get rid of him.
