Things have certainly gone haywire between Victor Osimhen and Napoli and it now seems very likely the Super Eagles striker will quit the Serie A champions sooner rather than later after two official social media posts put down their best player.
"It is incredible that a club like Napoli think it's appropriate to release that kind of video"

Napoli official TikTok account, which has 4.5 million followers, trolled Osimhen for his missed penalty against Bologna this past weekend and another that compared his bleached hair to a coconut.
Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has threatened legal action against Napoli, while the player himself has deleted everything related to Napoli on his Instagram.
Nigerian journalist Oma Akatugba, who has followed Osimhen closely at Napoli, described the Napoli social reportage of the striker as “the lowest of low”.
“I didn’t want to believe what I saw. It’s unbelievable. Absolutely incredible!,” he reported on the X platform.
“It’s a shame, it’s a disgrace, it is distasteful, unacceptable, it is crass for a club to do such a thing to their best player, a Ballon d’or nominee, just because he has not scored in three games.”
Many have suggested a racial undertone in this scandal after Osimhen failed to score in the last three matches and Napoli have struggled to impress in the defence of their Scudetto.
Top scorer of Serie A last season with 26 goals, Osimhen has yet to sign a new contract with Napoli and in January he could leave the club for free as his contract will run out in June 2024.
