Victor Osimhen will return to training today after initial fears he could be sidelined for some time with a muscle injury he suffered at Angers.
The all-action striker was taken off on a stretcher in the 79th minute after he had opened scoring for Lille in the 17th minute.
He said he quit the game more as a precaution.
“I just felt something, I didn’t want to take a risk and I left,” he said.
Lille officials said it was a minor injury.
He should now be available for Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash against fellow front runners Olympique Marseille.
Osimhen has scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 and 18 goals in all competitions this season.
Lille are fourth on the table with 40 points from 24 matches, nine points behind second-placed Marseille.
