Victor Osimhen will miss 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea Bissau as well as a UEFA Champions League tie at Sporting Lisbon of Portugal due to a groin injury.
Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk disclosed that an MRI scan showed the severity of the groin injury that Osimhen suffered against Basaksehir in a Turkish Super Lig clash this past week.
The striker will be sidelined for at least three weeks on account of the injury.
Galatasaray visit Sporting Lisbon Wednesday to open their UEFA Champions League campaign of the new season, while the Super Eagles will welcome Madagascar to Uyo on September 26, before a clash with Guinea Bissau four days later in the qualifying rounds for the 2027 AFCON.
