Victor Osimhen’s exploits at Napoli last season have not gone unnoticed by world football governing body FIFA after he was the only African to be shortlisted for the Best Awards.
Osimhen makes the 12-man short list alongside Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
This first-time nomination follows that of the Ballon D’or for Osimhen, who is widely expected to be crowned CAF Player of the Year in December.
