Victor Osimhen is yet to attain full fitness after injury and illness, according to Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso.
Osimhen has returned Covid-19 and a shoulder injury which sidelined him for almost three months.
He was a 57th minute sub Saturday when Napoli fell 2-1 at Genoa after his comeback game at Verona last month.
Napoli coach Gattuso said the striker still has some way before he will be back to his best.
“Osimhen was out for several months, he had Covid and a shoulder injury, so he’s not at 100 per cent,” he said.
“We don’t have a magic wand, but he’s showing some glimmer of hope.
“We know his qualities, but he has barely played for us this season.”
The 22-year-old striker has scored twice in eight Serie A appearances since his record-breaking transfer in the summer from Lille.
