Victor Osimhen has described new club Napoli as a team of great champions while saluting how he has been warmly welcomed at the top Serie A club.
Osimhen, 21, signed a five-year contract with Napoli reportedly worth over 80 million Euros after he shone at Ligue 1 club Lille this past season.
“I’m in a group of great champions,” he declared at his media presentation.
“For me, being here means having made a big leap in quality.
“What interests me is giving a lot to the team and being useful to my teammates.”
He also highlighted the love club president De Laurentiis and coach Gattuso showed him from the onset.
“The President and the coach wanted me strongly, they talked to me a lot even before coming here. For me they were both like a father because they gave me so much advice,” he said.
“I decided to accept the challenge at Napoli right after speaking with them.
“It is difficult to receive all the love they have shown me.
“For a young player like me, having this affection is important.”
