Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho have quit the Super Eagles training camp in Portugal with coach Jose Peseiro admitting the strikers will be missed for tomorrow’s friendly against Mozambique.
Osimhen has returned to his base in Italy after he suffered a hamstring injury during Friday’s friendly against Saudi Arabia.
Iheanacho, on the other hand, left for England “for personal reasons”.
He scored a goal when he was brought on in the second half against Saudi Arabia.
“We will miss Kelechi and Victor, but we have other good players who can make Nigeria proud,” reacted coach Peseiro.
“I look at the bench and I see players who can step up and take their chances.”
OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi and Sadiq Umar from La Liga club Real Sociedad will hope for starting spots versus Mozambique after they were introduced in the friendly against Saudi Arabia.
