Victor Osimhen is a much improved striker this season so much so he is capable of firing at least 25 goals in Serie A this season, according to former Bayern Munich and Fiorentina striker Luca Toni.
Last season, Osimhen overcame injuries and Covid-19 to score 10 goals in his first season in Italy.
Luca Toni has now said the Super Eagles star striker could more than double this tally under a more demanding coach Luciano Spalletti.
“Before he arrived in Italy, I didn’t know him well. I find him much improved from last year and I think it thanks to Spalletti, who is very demanding,” Toni told Corriere della Sera.
“In speed, then he’s devastating. He reminds me of Andriy Shevchenko for the way he varies in attack and for his great speed.
“Only he and (Tammy) Abraham can guarantee 25 goals in Serie A.”
Osimhen has so far netted four goals for table toppers Napoli.
