Galatasaray got a million dollars as win-bonus when they won the recent Istanbul Derby against Besiktas and now striker Victor Osimhen has got the club President to agree on a record-breaking bonus should they eliminate Liverpool and advance to the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League.
The Turkish champions take a 1-0 lead going into Wednesday’s return leg at Anfield.
Le Marca Sports quoted Ali Naci Kucuk as saying: “Victor Osimhen said, ‘if we eliminate Liverpool, let the bonus by 5 million euros’ and President Dursun Ozbek accepted this.”
For eliminating Juventus in the Round of 16, Galatasaray earned over 11 million euros in prize money and will earn over 12 million euros should they beat Liverpool and qualify to the quarterfinal of the Champions League.
