Today, credible reports announced that Victor Osimhen will continue with Galatasaray after a very successful loan spell from Napoli.
It will now be up to Galatasaray to reach an agreement with Napoli on the striker’s transfer fee for a permanent switch.
Last season, Osimhen helped Gala to win both the league and cup as well as finish as top scorer in the Super Lig.
This again means that the Istanbul giants will try to qualify for the money-spinning group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Osimhen has connected wonderfully with the massive Gala fan base and even he could not have written a better script.
He has chosen Gala ahead of the “life-changing” offer of 160 Million Euros over four years by Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal because he believes he can still deliver the goals and trophies in Europe.
But is this not the same player who was only a handshake away from joining another Saudi club Al Ahli, armed with bags of cash, last summer before Napoli became a little greedy?
Is this not the same player who has insisted he will not take a pay cut to play in the Premier League, a dream he has held while growing up in one of the slums of Lagos?
It is cash that got Osimhen to own the 2025 Rolls Royce Black Badge Cullinan II, the Lamborghini as well as the several estates and assets.
At 26, Osimhen has already carved his name in football history.
He won the Scudetto with Napoli three years ago and became the first African to be crowned the Capocannoniere of the Italian Serie A.
On the back of these exploits, he will be named Africa’s best player in 2023.
And this past season, he continued his winning ways in Turkey that he does not have anything more to prove in Europe.
That is the more reason he ought to reconsider the generational opportunity that Al Hilal have put before him.
The Riyadh club not only offer him generational wealth, but also good football as they proved at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America, where they accounted for mighty Manchester City and reached the quarterfinal.
The legendary Cristiano Ronaldo has ranked the Saudi Pro League among the Top 5 leagues in the world and so Osimhen will not be missing anything when he quits Europe to play there.
At present, Europe is the best of world football, but the future belongs in Asia and Osimhen ought to be part of this growth particularly as the top clubs in the West have continued to question his true worth, while down playing anything that is not their own.

I, seriously, have my own reservations. I still think Osimhen is too young to move over to the Saudi league. You want to remain among the best and be aiming to be the best, then Saudi Arabia is not the place to go when you are in the prime of your footballing career.
What is wrong with Osimhen winning world best whether ballon dor or fifa best? What is wrong in him becoming the second player from Africa to be world best after George Weah? He won’t achieve any of these if he moves to the veteran Saudi league.
Insinuating that Victor Osimhen has nothing to prove anymore in the European league is simply ridiculous. The best football is played in Europe and our very best should remain there. The future of football is not and will never be Asia. It will remain a ground to go make money when you are nearing retirement.
Osimhen will definitely one day end up in Saudi Arabia but not now or in the nearest future.
This is really one of the worst sports pieces I have read in recent times, like seriously in your opinion Saudi presents an opportunity for what exactly and in the words of “the great christiano Ronaldo” that’s why no one will ever take u serious, osimhen bought a Lamborghini and the rolls Royce without the Saudi dollars, he can live without it
