The Super Eagles striker netted the all-important goal in extra time for Galatasaray to squeeze into the next round of the Champions League 7-5 on aggregate after they won the first leg in Turkey 5-2.
“If I have to be honest with you, I am disappointed with the performance of the team,” Osimhen told CBS Sports Golazo.
“Kudos to Juventus for the kind of display they put up.
“We qualified but we have a lot to improve on if we go into the next round to play the big dogs.
“This performance was not really good. Juventus deserved the win, but I’m happy for my team to qualify for the next round..”
He continued: “I knew it would be difficult to come to Turin to win because I have played there also and I know how difficult it is.
“Some of my teammates were timid, I tried to motivate them I cannot do it alone.
“They were scared by the crowd and the way Juventus were playing.
“But I know this team, when you sit back and let them play, they will even do more damage.
“They even played better with the red card than when they were 11 players.”
Galatasaray will know tomorrow who they will face in the Round of 16 between Liverpool and Tottenham when the draw is staged.
They recorded a famous 1-0 home victory over Liverpool in the group phase of the competition, but Osimhen admitted he would prefer to avoid the defending Premier League champions.
“Meeting Liverpool will be like some sort of revenge, but I will like to escape Liverpool,” he admitted.
“If we have to, we will have to dig it out, but it will not be easy.
“This is the Champions League and no team is easy. You can see Bodo/Glimt flying.
“You win (against the big teams) to make a statement for yourself.
“It won’t be easy of course, but we have a fight in us.”
