There were Nigerian goals across Europe today as Victor Osimhen, Calvin Bassey and Tolu Arokodare all got on the score sheet for their respective clubs.
Osimhen scored for the second straight Turkish Super Lig game for Galatasaray to shoot down home team Antalysapor 4-1.
He has now netted six goals in the league.
The road win has further cemented Galatasaray’s leadership in Turkey.
In the Premier League, fellow AFCON-bound stars Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi all played a big role for Fulham to win 3-2 at Burnley.
Defender Bassey scored for the first time since February, while Chukwueze again provided an assist for the London club.
Also in England, striker Tolu Arokodare grabbed his first Premier League goal for Wolves, but it was not enough as the bottom club in the standings fell 2-1 at Arsenal.
The big striker was left out of this month’s AFCON after he made his Super Eagles debut in Rwanda in March.
